Please join the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce at our April Network Luncheon, Tuesday, April 15, 2008 12:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Hall, 125 East “F” Street. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Richard Swanson, Superintendent Tehachapi Unified School District.  Dr. Swanson will provide members with an update on the school district and his goals for the future.

Dr. Swanson spent his first ten career years in education as a teacher, a doctoral student in Cognitive Development at CAL  and a consultant, then ten years in the private sector as a sales executive, corporate planner and Vice President of Investments, and the last 17 years back in education with the last nine in various superintendent positions.

In addition to our guest speaker, the Chamber is pleased to present a short performance by the Tehachapi High School’s Treble Ensemble under the direction of Linda Pettitt.  The Ensemble is composed of 17 beautiful young ladies who love singing and dancing.  They have just returned from a musical competition at Disneyland and received an Excellent rating.  The girls have happily sung all over our town for various groups and service organizations.
