Please join the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce at our monthly Chamber Luncheon on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, 12:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Hall, 125 East “F” Street.

      We will have Tehachapi’s Relay for Life committee members speak on behalf of this years Relay, which will take place July 12th & 13th. Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event where everyone in the community can join in the fight against cancer.

     In 2008, the American Cancer Society will serve patients, survivors and caregivers in the local Tehachapi area, with many programs and services being provided. The American Cancer Society expects that 22,177 residents of the Great Valley Region, which includes the community of Tehachapi, will hear the words “you have cancer” this year.

     The Relay committee will have information on how you can become involved and take part in this annual event by volunteering, becoming a sponsor, or forming a team.

     The cost is $15, which includes lunch.  Please make your reservations by calling the Chamber at 661-822-4180.  Reservation deadline is Friday, May 16, 2008.
